The Census of Freshwater Algae in Australia Database was compiled and edited by Tim Entwisle and Lucy Nairn.

This database is based on 'Bibliographic Checklist of Non-marine Algae in Australia' by S.A. Day, R.P. Wickham, T.J. Entwisle and P.A. Tyler (Flora of Australia, Supplementary Series No. 4, Australian Biological Resources Study, Canberra, 1995), referred to in this database as BCNAA.
