Genus Argentipallium Family Asteraceae

Description: Perennial herbs.

Leaves alternate, sessile, flat with entire margins, tomentose on both surfaces.

Inflorescences or flower heads disciform or discoid, solitary or in terminal panicles. Involucral bracts papery, coloured. Outer florets yellow, female, filiform, fewer than the central florets, or missing. Central florets perfect, yellow.

Achenes obovoid with short clavate twin hairs. Pappus of free barbellate bristles; shortly connate in a ring.


Distribution and occurrence: Australia, 6 species, 1 species on the far south coast of New South Wales.
