Genus Callicoma Family Cunoniaceae

Description: Trees or shrubs.

Leaves simple, toothed; stipules triangular, prominent.

Flowers in dense globose heads, pedunculate, axillary. Sepals 4 or 5, free, not enlarging in fruit. Petals absent. Stamens numerous, longer than calyx. Ovary superior, 2- or 3-locular.

Capsule separating into distinct carpels opening along inner edge.


Distribution and occurrence: World: 1 species, endemic Australia. Australia: 1 species, endemic.
