Genus Guilfoylia Family Surianaceae

Synonyms: Guilfoylia APNI*

Description: Shrubs or small trees.

Leaves alternate, simple; stipules minute, persistent.

Inflorescences axillary or terminal, paniculate; bracteate. Calyx basally fused, 5-lobed, persistent but not enlarging in fruit. Petals 5, not persistent. Stamens 10, unequal; anthers dorsifixed, versatile. Carpel solitary; ovules 2; style lateral.

Fruit a drupe, 1-seeded by abortion.
