Genus Hodgkinsonia Family Rubiaceae

Description: Trees.

Leaves opposite; stipules interpetiolar, caducous.

Inflorescences umbellate, pedunculate; flowers unisexual. Calyx minute, 4-toothed. Corolla tube ovoid, 4-lobed. Stamens inserted near base of tube; anthers included. Ovary 2–4-locular; 1 ovule per loculus; style with 2–4-lobed stigma.

Fruit a drupe.


Distribution and occurrence: World: 2 species, endemic. Australia. Australia: Qld, N.S.W.
