Genus Thozetia Family Apocynaceae

Description: Tall twiners with clear watery sap exuding from cut stems.

Leaves with a cluster of glands at base of lamina.

Flowers in simple or branched racemes adjacent to leaf axils, rachis persistent, closely covered with bracts and scars of fallen pedicels. Calyx segments lanceolate. Corolla rotate, tube much shorter than lobes, induplicate-valvate in bud. Corona segments 5, peltately attached to anthers, wing-like lower part broad, free upper part oblong, longer than anthers. Pollinia obovate-oblong, erect, 2 per anther. Style head narrow-conical.

Follicles glabrous, acuminate.
