Distribution and occurrence: Occurs on the coastal plain and nearby mountains from Glen Davis to Nadgee, N.S.W.

Grows in sandy loam or loam in woodland, often near swamps, and in rocky (sandstone) loam near creeks or on ridges, in woodland or low shrubland.
