Dodonaea microzyga var. microzyga F.Muell. APNI*

Description: Spreading shrub to 1.5 m high.

Leaves imparipinnate, 0.3–1 cm long; leaflets 5 or 7, oblanceolate to broad-obovate, usually 1.5–3.5 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, apex usually obtuse, rarely toothed or notched, base cuneate, margins usually entire; petiole 1.5–5 mm long.

Flowers solitary or paired; pedicels 3.5–5 mm long. Sepals 4, ovate, 1.8–2.6 mm long, not persistent. Stamens 8, rarely 9 or 10. Ovary pubescent.

Capsule 3-, rarely 4-winged, 10–13.5 mm long, 10–17.5 mm wide, glabrous; wings 2.5–5 mm wide, membranous.


Distribution and occurrence: in arid habitats, usually in open woodland or shrubland mostly stony rises, hills and ranges of ironstone and granite.
