Euphorbia tannensis subsp. tannensis Spreng. APNI*

Description: Compact shrub to 60 cm high, upper branches usually remaining leafy.

Leaves lanceolate or oblanceolate to spathulate, to 50 mm long and 7 mm wide, ± entire to finely toothed; petiole 2–4 mm long; stipules present.

Cyathia on peduncles 1–1.5 mm long; involucre 1–2 mm long; glands 4, ± ovate, margins entire or crenate.

Capsule c. 4 mm long, 4 mm diam.; seeds grey or speckled with brown spots, c. 2.5 mm long; caruncle hat-shaped, light brown.
