Ranunculus sessiliflorus var. sessiliflorus R.Br. ex DC. APNI*

Description: Annual, pilose or sometimes subglabrous.

Flowering stems to 35 cm long, branching.

Lower leaves palmate, lamina 4–12 mm long or rarely longer, often reniform and broader than long, with 3–5 subacute teeth; upper leaves palmatisect or ternate; petiole mostly 2–5 cm long. Petals ovate or elliptic, 1–2 mm long; nectary above the middle of the petal, lobe semi-elliptic to ± triangular.

Achenes 1.3–2 mm long, with a short triangular beak c. 0.2 mm long (rarely longer).
