Distribution and habitat: Mexico - Oaxaca, Puebla

Description:
Plants arborescent. Stem 3 m tall, 30 cm diam.
Leaves dark green, dull, 70-85 cm long, keeled (opposing leaflets
inserted at 90° on rachis), with 160-200 leaflets; basal leaflets reducing to
spines.
Leaflets linear, weakly discolorous, not falcate, inserted at
45° to rachis, overlapping upwards; margins flat, entire; median leaflets
6-7 cm long, 7-8 mm wide.
Pollen cones narrowly ovoid, pale brown, 30-40 cm long, 8-10 cm diam.
Seed cones ovoid, pale brown, 40-50 cm long, 20-25 cm diam.
Seeds ovoid, 30-40 mm long, 20-25 mm wide, sarcotesta cream or white.
