Distribution and habitat: Mexico

Conservation status: 1997 IUCN Red List of Threatened Plants category R.

Description:

Plants arborescent.

Leaves dark grey green, dull, flat (not keeled) in section (opposing leaflets inserted at 180° on rachis).

Leaflets linear, not falcate, inserted at 90° to rachis, not overlapping; margins flat, entire; median leaflets 10-18 cm long, 4-7 mm wide.

Pollen cones narrowly ovoid.

Seed cones ovoid.

Seeds ovoid, sarcotesta cream or white.
