Description:
Plants arborescent. Stem 1 m tall.
Leaves light or bright green, semiglossy, 100-200 cm long, flat (not
keeled) in section (opposing leaflets inserted at 180° on rachis), with
140-180 leaflets; basal leaflets reducing to spines.
Leaflets narrowly lanceolate, falcate, inserted at 90° to
rachis, not overlapping; margins flat, entire or dentate; median leaflets 10-18
cm long, 7-12 mm wide.
Pollen cones narrowly ovoid to fusiform, pale brown, 25-50 cm long,
6-10 cm diam.
Seed cones ovoid, pale brown, 20-30 cm long, 15-20 cm diam.
Seeds ovoid, 25-35 mm long, 20-25 mm wide, sarcotesta cream or white.
