TYPE: Western Australia, Wilson Inlet, G. Maxwell, 1858 (syn MEL, isosyn PERTH). Mueller cites the localities "... sinum Wilson's Inlet Novae Hollandiae austro-occidentalis nascitur" and "... juxta flumina Franklin River at Deep River..."


Habit: Mallee.
Bark: Cotyledons reniform.
Flowers: Calyx calyptrate; persisting to anthesis.
Fruits: Chaff cuboid.
