Description: QUEENSLAND: L.32.8um, Br. 20.5um, I. 5.3um, L:Br. 1.6. The facial granules were extremely difficult to see even when the cell was viewed obliquely. Examination of the margins in side view showed a lack of swellings. however, this taxon agrees with that in Prescott, Croasdale & Vinyard, 1977, p.71. This is a new record for Queensland. (Dingley 2001 Queensland). NEW SOUTH WALES: L19.2um, BR 15.5um, Isth. 5.2um, L:Br. 1.2. Cells were similar to those in all references studied. (Dingley 2001 NSW desmids)
