Description: L. 43.9–51.9um, Br. body 16.2–18.7um, Br. cpr. 62.0–68.2um, Isth. 10.2–11.5um. This taxon is easily determined by the two rows of supraisthmal granules, a single short spine on the body near the isthmus and on apical view there are six prominent verrucae arranged circularly in the centre of the semicell. 'St. messidkommeri' was renamed by Coesel, 1996. This is a new record for Australia. (Dingley 2001)
