Next to the morphological variability mentioned above, a triradiate form was also observed, I.E. in McMinns Lagoon (site 14 NT). As far as could be checked, such a form of C. askenasyii has only once been recorded before, ie by Krieger (1933) as forma trigona Willi Krieg. (Croesel & Dingley 2005)
