Synonyms: Cosmarium punctulatum var. granulusculum (Roy & Bissett) West & West AlgaeBase*
Description: L 17.7um, Br 16.4um, Isth 6.6um, Th 10.1um, L:Br 1.08. These organisms differ from the above description by the size which were about half the dimensions. This taxon matches 'var. minor Oye et Cornil' but according to Prescott et al. (1981) the variety was published without a Latin diagnosis and should be reduced to synonymy with the typical unless some feature other than size is recorded. (Dingley 2001)
