Cell wall between central and marginal ornamentation with an unsculptured zone. Cell length 33–38um, cell breadth 31–37um, cell thickness circa 20um, breadth of isthmus 7–8um. State distribution in Australia, based on available literature

In cell size, rough cell shape and its dentate outline C. spinoscrobiculosum resembels C. spinuliferum W. et G.S.West, but the cell wall onamentation in the centre of the semicell is essentially different. under the light microscope, the alternating, decussating rows of granules and scrobicles are only to be distinguished under optimal conditions (lacking of any cell content).
