Synonyms: Docidium kayei W.Archer AlgaeBase*
Description: L 294.2–339.3um, Br csp 50.1–63.9um, Isth 24.2–28.1um, Ap csp 42.1–54.3um, L:Br 5.2–6.4. The semicells contained four whorls of paired spines (contrary to the five reported in the protologue of Docidium kayei, but in agreement with the cells illustrated). This taxon was common in the sample. (Dingley 2001)
