Description: Shrub to 2 m high. Stems terete, sometimes glaucous, glabrous, moderately to faintly warty.

Leaves sessile, linear to oblong-elliptic or oblanceolate or rarely obovate, 2–11 cm long, 6–22 mm wide, flat or conduplicate (some populations of the mountain form) when dried, apex rounded to acute; surfaces glandular-warty, glabrous, midrib prominent.

Inflorescences mostly 3–8-flowered. Peduncles 2–20 mm long; pedicels 4–10 mm long. Petals broad-elliptic, c. 8 mm long, white, glabrous, keel prominent and glandular. Stamens free, staminal filaments ciliate or woolly-ciliate, pilose towards apex, anthers glabrous.

Cocci erect or slightly divaricate, c. 7 mm long, beak c. 3 mm long.

Flowering: Mainly spring and autumn.

Distribution and occurrence: Widespread, chiefly on the ranges south from Denman, also recorded from the Richmond Range (Mt Lardner) to the Sherwood Nature Reserve.

Grows in heath and dry sclerophyll forest in shallow soils, often associated with watercourses, or on rocky hillsides.
