Datura wrightii Regel APNI*

Description: Herb, tomentose with retrorse, non-glandular hairs and some erect, glandular hairs.

Mature leaves ovate to angular-ovate, usually 5–16 cm long, 4–10 cm wide, margins entire or irregularly lobed.

Calyx 6–9 cm long; lobes 10–25 mm long, sometimes incompletely separated. Corolla 14–20 cm long, white, usually tinged with lavender towards margin; limb 5-lobed; lobes ending in slender point 5–13 mm long. Stamens shortly exserted. Stigma above anthers.

Capsule body ± globose, 2.5–3.5 cm long and wide, deflexed; spines numerous, sharp, all ± equal, usually 3–5 mm.
