Macgregoria racemigera F.Muell. APNI*

Description: Erect to procumbent annual to 15 cm high and 30 cm diam., glabrous; stems slender, branching.

Leaves linear, 5–15 mm long, to 1 mm wide.

Raceme dense, mostly 4–11 cm long; flowers subtended by a bract at the base of a slender pedicel; pedicel 3–8 mm long. Flowers white, often with a pink throat, strongly scented. Sepals narrow-triangular, 1.5–3 mm long. Petals narrow-spathulate, 5–10 mm long.

Cocci obovoid, densely papillose, covered by hooked hairs.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in sand, clay or gravelly soil, on ridges and plains, in arid areas, also hummock grassland and woodland; chiefly from Bourke to Wanaaring district.
