Description: Annual herb, 15–40 cm high, glabrous.
Leaves linear to narrow-elliptic or oblanceolate, 2.5–5 cm long, 3–12 mm wide, margins toothed.
Inflorescence a few- to several-flowered raceme; pedicels erect, 15–25 mm long. Sepals 4–6 mm long. Corolla 2-lipped, orange with pale yellow near throat, bluish markings towards base of upper lip, purplish markings on outer surfaces of lips; tube c. 2 mm long; pouch 2–3 mm long; lips broad, 10–15 mm long.
Capsule oblong-ovoid, 12–15 mm long.
Flowering: spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Cultivated, occasionally naturalized in moist sites; recorded at Picnic Point and Woy Woy district. Native of S Afr.
