Roepera humillima (M.Koch ex Tate) Beier & Thulin APNI*

Synonyms: Zygophyllum humillimum M.Koch ex Tate APNI*

Description: Small prostrate annual.

Leaflets continuous with the petiole, oblong- to obovate-cuneate, 5–10 mm long, apex emarginate.

Sepals 4. Petals 4, narrow-obovate, 3 mm long, slightly exceeding sepals, yellow. Stamens 8; filaments narrow-winged in lower half. Fruiting pedicels 1–3 mm long, recurved.

Capsule 4-angled, globose to campanulate, 3–4 mm long, apex slightly dome-shaped with a minute membranous appendage forming a slight corner at upper part of each angle; seed 1 per loculus, very smooth, shining, blackish brown.


Flowering: July–September

Distribution and occurrence: Grows on red-brown cracking clay and sandy loam with gypsum; northwest from Louth district, rare. In SW Queensland and NE South Australia.
