Description: Small erect or ascending annual.

Leaflets continuous with the petiole, narrow-oblong to linear, 4–10 mm long, apex faintly emarginate.

Sepals 4. Petals 4, obovate to oblanceolate, 1–1.5 mm long, usually shorter to almost as long as sepals, white. Stamens 8; filaments slightly flattened and broadened towards the base, not winged. Fruiting pedicels 2–3 mm long, recurved.

Capsule bluntly 4-angled, oblong-ovoid, c. 8 mm long; seeds usually 2 in each loculus.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows mainly on calcareous loam and red-brown sandy soils; west of line between Wilcannia and Balranald areas. Also in NW Victoria, South Australia, southern Northern Territory and southern Western Australia.

Other Australian states: Vic. W.A. S.A. N.T.
