Roepera prismatotheca (F.Muell.) Beier & Thulin APNI*

Synonyms: Zygophyllum prismatothecum F.Muell. APNI*

Description: Small spreading annual.

Leaflets continuous with the cuneate petiole, cuneate, forming an apically 2-lobed leaf, 12–28 mm long (including the petiole).

Sepals 4. Petals 4, oblanceolate, 3 mm long, about as long as sepals, ± acute at apex, yellow. Stamens 8; filaments winged in lower part. Fruiting pedicels 1–2 mm long, erect or spreading ± horizontally.

Capsule obtusely 4-angled, narrow-oblong to cylindrical, 10–15 mm long, in the grooves between the angles densely white-papillose, with an erect herbaceous appendage at apex of each angle; seeds 2 or 3 per loculus.
