Description: Slender woody climber, sometimes scrambling or trailing, with rusty simple hairs at least on young shoots and inflorescences.
Leaves ovate to lanceolate, usually 5–10 cm long, 15–40 mm wide, margins entire or finely crenate, ± glabrous or with simple hairs, especially on lower surface, aromatic when crushed; oil dots numerous, minute; petiole 6–15 mm long.
Terminal flowers bisexual, lower flowers usually male. Perianth segments 2–11, 2–3 mm long, whitish. Stamens 6–15.
Fruit a 1-seeded berry, c. 5–8 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: Within and on the margins of temperate rainforest on the coastal ranges; from the Wilson R. to the Qld border.
