Synonyms: Bossiaea milesiae K.L.McDougall APNI*

Description: Multistemmed shrub to 2 m high, ± glabrous; main stems finally terete, branches flat, winged, 4–8(–10) mm wide.

Leaves reduced to scales, 1.2–1.8 mm long.

Flowers 13–15 mm long; pedicels 2.5–3 mm long; bracts several, distichous, c. 1.5 mm long, persistent; bracteoles obscure, caducous. Calyx 4.5–5.3 mm long. Petals golden-yellow with dark red markings on keel and occasionally wings. Ovary shortly stipitate, glabrous, 6–7-ovuled.

Pod oblong, 2.7–3.5 cm long, stipe 3–4.7 mm long.

Flowering: August–September.

Distribution and occurrence: Confined to the Brogo River catchment near Bega in the vicinity of Brogo Dam (South Coast).

Occurs in riparian vegetation above the river and sometimes in rocky and sandy river beds.

Previously recognised as a distinct species, but now included as a subspecies of Bossiaea fragrans following population genetic studies. Differs from subsp. fragrans in having cladodes that are green at flowering; standard 7–9 mm long (excluding claw); pedicels 2–4 mm long; bracteole abscission scars generally visible (approximately at level of scale apices or slightly more distal).
