Olearia canescens subsp. canescens (Benth.) Hutch. APNI* Description: Shrub to 2 m.
Leaves narrow-linear to lanceolate, 20–50 mm long, 4–10 mm wide; leaf length : wideth ratio >5; upper surface moderately to densely hairy, usually with sessile glands; lower surface white, cream grey or rarely yellow.
Distribution and occurrence: From Aspley River and Nandewar Ranges north on the New England Tablelands. In open shrubland or woodland, often on gorges or steep rocky slopes. Altitude 400-950 m.
