Description: Erect shrub to 1.5 m high.
Leaves paripinnate, sometimes terminated by a small tooth or lobe, 1–3.8 cm long; lateral leaflets usually 2–6, rarely to 10, linear, usually 8–15 mm long, 0.5–2 mm wide; apex acute to obtuse, base attenuate, margins entire; petiole 9.5–20 mm long.
Flowers usually paired or 3 together, rarely solitary; pedicels 4–8.5 mm long. Sepals not persistent.
Capsule 4-winged, 8.5–14.5 mm long, 10–17 mm wide, glabrous; wings 3–6.5 mm wide, leathery.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in mallee shrubland on dune swales; rare in this State, recorded at Nanya Station (south west of Coombah Roadhouse) and west of Lake Victoria; more widespread in semi-arid scrub or open woodland in other southern States.
