Hibbertia kaputarensis B.J.Conn APNI*
Description: Shrub 40–60 cm high, with decumbent branches.
Leaves oblanceolate to ± oblong, 1–4 cm long, 2–7 mm wide, apex rounded to ± emarginate, base tapering and stem-clasping, margins entire, both surfaces with a greyish tomentum or occasionally ± glabrescent above.
Flowers sessile on short axillary shoots. Sepals 6–10 mm long, obtuse to acute, outer surfaces densely rusty- or white-tomentose except for mostly glabrous and reddish margins. Petals 10–15 mm long. Stamens > 40, surrounding carpels. Carpels 3, glabrous.
Flowering: chiefly spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Common in heath and open forest in rocky sites, from 500-1000 m alt. in Mt Kaputar N.P. and adjacent hills and at Howell.
