Description: Annual herbs; hairs typically 2-branched, occasionally multicellular and gland-tipped.
Leaves alternate, (3-)5–7(-11)-foliolate; leaflets entire, opposite; stipules present.
Inflorescences axillary racemes. Calyx teeth subequal or the lowermost longer. Corolla red to pink. Stamens diadelphous (9 fused ± 1 free); anthers apiculate. Ovary pubescent; style glabrous, stigma capitate; ovules 11–12.
Pods compressed-cylindric; 11–12 seeded.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in northern and inland Australia, just extending into the far north-west of NSW. Arid woodland, often along creeklines.
