Oxylobium bracteosum K.L.McDougall & N.G.Walsh APNI* Description: Erect shrub to 2 m high; stems vllous, eventually becoming glabrous.
Leaves mostly in irregular whorls of 3, narrowly ovate to narrowly obovate or oblong elliptic, 1.1–2.5(–4) cm long, 2.5–8(-11) mm wide, apex mucronate, margins strongly recurved, upper surface with small tubercules, reticulate and silky hairy (glabrescent), lower surface with silky, appressed hairs; stipules stipules (when present) to 3 mm long.
Flowers in short, dense, terminal or axillary spike-like raceme to 3.5 cm long. Calyx 8–9.5 mm long, sericeous. Corolla 14–60 mm long, orange-yellow, with red markings, keel orange. Ovary sessile.
Pod not seen.
Flowering: Recorded for October.
Distribution and occurrence: Restricted to Mount Imlay, near Eden. In open woodland on skeletal soils over sandstone.
