Prostanthera floydii T.C.Wilson, Taseski & Sheringham APNI*

Description: Open, straggling erect to woody shrub to 2 metres tall. Branchlets moderately to densely covered in antrorse hairs to 0.6 mm long, surface green or dark maroon, developing dark brown bark with lenticel-like openings.

Leaves mid- to pale green; petiole absent to short (up to 1.4 mm long); lamina linear to very narrowly ovate or elliptic, 22–48 mm long, 1.2–3.4 mm wide, adaxial surface glabrous, abaxial surface covered by antrorse appressed hairs to 0.6 mm long, sessile glands not visible, base shortly attenuate to truncate, margin recurved, apex acute or obtuse, midvein only partly distinct; plant parts lacking aroma when crushed.

Flowers appearing axillary; Pedicel 2.9–4.3 mm long; Prophylls persistent until fruiting, strongly narrow ovate, 5.2–15 mm long, 0.4–1.1 mm wide; Calyx pale-green with raised nerves and veins dark maroon, tube 2.7–5.2 mm long, abaxial lobe 3.5–9.6 mm long, adaxial lobe 7.7–9.9 mm long; Corolla 16–27 mm long, pale lilac, throat white and covered with dark lilac veins and usually cenral line of orange spots accompanied on each side by pale mauve spots; Stamens white, connective appendage 0.7–1.4 mm long.

Fruiting calyx similar size to flowering calyx (not accrescent); Mericarps 3.3–3.7 mm long, surface strongly longitudinally ribbed, dark brown.
