Description: Sprawling woody shrub to 1.5 m high. Branchlets densely covered in hairs to 0.8 mm long, surface yellowish or reddish green, developing reddish brown bark; hairs 0.3–0.8 mm long.
Leaves bright yellowish green with margin red or maroon; petiole short (up to 1 mm long); lamina spathulate to broadly so, 4–9 mm long, 2–3(–5) mm wide, sometimes with a few hairs, densely covered by sessile glands, base attenuate, margin entire and undulate, apex acute, venation indistinct; strongly aromatic when crushed, reminiscent of lemon and pine.
Flowers appearing axillary; Pedicel 1–1.3 mm long; Prophylls persistent, linear to elliptic, 0.1–0.2(–1.3) mm long, 0.1–0.2 mm wide; Calyx yellowish green and maroon distally, tube 2.5–4 mm long, abaxial lobe 1.5–2.5 mm long, adaxial lobe 1.5–1.7(–2.5) mm long; Corolla 8.5–9.5 mm long, pale mauve, throat white and covered with yellow spots; Stamens white with anthers mauve, connective appendage 0.6–1 mm long.
Fruiting calyx slightly larger than flowering calyx; Mericarps 1–1.5 mm long.
Flowering: January to December.
Distribution and occurrence: Greater area surrounding Yuraygir National Park. NSW subdivisions: NC. Sclerophyll forest with heath understory.
