Description: Compact, erect shrub up to 80 cm high, with plants forming tight mats. Branchlets densely covered in retrorse white hairs to 0.4 mm long.

Leaves velutinous, apperaing silver-light green, discolorous; petiole 0.88–1.4 mm long; lamina linear to narrowly ovate to elliptic, 12–19 mm long, 3–5 mm wide, moderately to densely hairy and glands indistinct on both sides, margin recurved, apex obtuse, venation indistinct; plant parts lacking aroma when crushed.

Flowers appearing axillary; Pedicel to 2.8 mm long; Prophylls persistent, narrow-ovate to narrowly elliptic, 3.8–9 mm long, 0.8–4.5 mm wide; Calyx light green or occasionally dark mauve, tube 1.5–2.1 mm long, abaxial lobe 2–4 mm long, adaxial lobe 3–5.3 mm long; Corolla 14–18 mm long, white with purple to dark mauve speckles on the inner surface of the tube and pale orange to yellow markings on the base of the abaxial lobe; Stamens white or very pale mauve, connective appendage dark mauve and 0.8–1.5 mm long.

Fruiting calyx similar size to flowering calyx (not strongly accrescent); Mericarps 1.8–2.1 mm long, surface rugose and minutely papillose, with a few spreading trichomes to 0.5 mm long.
