Inflorescence leafy, with very tightly clustered flowers. Calyx 6.1–8.6 mm long, tube glabrous or with short appressed hairs, lobes with very long, spreading hairs. Flowers yellow-orange with a broad red crescent at the base of the standard, keel dark red at apex. Standard petal 6.7–9.2 mm wide. Ovary with a tuft of long, appressed hairs in apical 1/5 and on the adaxial side of the style base.
Pods ovoid, 4.9–6.2 mm long, sparsely hairy near apex.
Flowering: October–December.
Distribution and occurrence: Only known from a small area near Queanbeyan on the southern Tablelands. Gentle to steep hill slopes with stony brown soil over sandstone, in low open forest or woodland.

Previously confused with Pultenaea lapidosa, a species confied to Victoria.
