Description: Erect or sprawling shrub 0.4–0.8(–1) m high, young stems with short, crisped, appressed, matted hairs to 0.2 mm long.

Alternate, lanceolate to oblanceolate, 3.4–10.0 mm long, 0.6–1.1 mm wide, mucronate, margins strongly incurved, usually completely hiding the upper surface.

Inflorescence leafy, with loosely to tightly clustered flowers. Calyx 3.7–5.3 mm long, tube and lobes with short to long, appressed hairs. Flowers yellow-orange with a partial red crescent at the base of the standard, keel mostly yellow. Standard petal 7.0–7.5 mm wide. Ovary with long, appressed hairs throughout.

Pods ovoid, 4.6–5.8 mm long, sparsely hairy for most of length.

Flowering: (August–)October–December.

Distribution and occurrence: Elevated areas of the Nandewar Range, east of Narrabri and west of Barraba.

Eucalypt shrubby woodland on rocky sites, in reddish-brown clay loam on basalt soils.
