Genus Kelleria Family Thymelaeaceae

Description: Low-growing shrubs with alternate overlapping leaves.

Flowers in small terminal heads, bisexual or functionally unisexual. Hypanthium funnel-shaped, not circumsciss above the ovary. Sepals 4. Petals scale-like, 4, alternating with the stamens. Stamens 4. Ovary 1-locular; ovule solitary; style slightly lateral.

Fruit a drupe.


Distribution and occurrence: World: 5 species, Borneo, New Guinea, New Zealand & Australia. Australia: 2 species (native), N.S.W., Vic., Tas.

This genus is sometimes included in Drapetes which, in the narrow sense, is restricted to S Amer.
