Description: Trees or shrubs, unarmed.

Leaves alternate, 2-foliolate, pinnae free, asymmetric, venation palmate; stipules caducous.

Flowers in terminal racemes. Calyx base turbinate or disc-like, calyx campanulate, 5-toothed. Petals 5. Stamens 10, all fertile; filaments free; anthers oblong, dehiscing by longitudinal slits. Ovary glabrous, stipitate; style usually filiform; stigma peltate.

Pod indehiscent; seeds flat.


Distribution and occurrence: World: 7 species, Asia & Australia. Australia: 5 species, Qld, N.S.W., N.T., W.A., S.A.
