Genus Neisosperma Family Apocynaceae

Description: Trees or shrubs, with milky latex.

Leaves opposite or in whorls of 3, secondary veins ± transverse, numerous.

Flowers in cymes, glands absent. Corolla with a narrow, cylindrical tube; lobes overlapping to left in bud. Stamens enclosed in the tube, free from the style head. Ovary of 2 distinct carpels united by the style; ovules few.

Fruit a pair of bright red, glossy drupes (sometimes only 1 developing); endocarp thick, hard, nearly smooth, cavities absent; seed 1, flattened.
