Atriplex acutibractea subsp. acutibractea R.H.Anderson APNI*

Description: Erect short-lived perennial shrub to 50 cm high, monoecious.

Leaves elliptic to circular, to c. 20 mm long, apex acute, margins entire or with a few prominent teeth; petiolate.

Flowers axillary, solitary or in small clusters. Fruiting bracteoles acute, rhombic, 6–8 mm long, occasionally the apex with lateral teeth; appendages 2 on each bracteole though 1 or both sometimes missing, small, dorsal, at the summit of the stipe-like base. Scattered throughout mallee areas.
