Outermost involucral bracts glabrous or woolly only at the base, the hairs inconspicuous.
Flowering: Flowers spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry sclerophyll forest, on clay soils, mainly at higher altitudes, from the Sydney area to New England N.P. and west to the Nandewar Ra.
