Crassula colorata var. colorata (Nees) Ostenf. APNI* Description: Erect annual with stems to 15 cm high, scarcely branched.
Leaves lanceolate, mostly 2–5 mm long, 1.5–3 mm wide, abruptly constricted towards base, flat to concave, often red-brown; sessile.
Inflorescences spike-like thyrsoids or panicles; pedicels ± absent. Flowers mainly 5-merous. Calyx lobes 1–2.5 mm long. Corolla pale yellow to red, lobes 1–2 mm long. Carpel scales oblong.
Follicles elliptical, usually smooth or rarely with bulging epidermal cells, pale.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread across the south of the continent, only in the far south and west in NSW
