Common name: Creeping Raspwort
Gonocarpus micranthus subsp. micranthus Thunb. APNI* Description: Prostrate, ascending or erect, much-branched herb; stems terete, glabrous or rarely with a few scattered hairs.
Leaves decussate, ovate to circular, 4–15 mm long, 3–11 mm wide, base rounded or cordate, margins thickened, toothed with many small teeth, ± glabrous; shortly petiolate.
Petals 0.8–1.5 mm long, reddish.
Fruit obovoid, up to 1 mm long, reddish to grey, 8-ribbed, smooth.
Distribution and occurrence: in heath and swampy areas, extending into open sclerophyll forest on damp sandy soils.
