Lespedeza juncea subsp. sericea (Maxim.) Steenis APNI*

Description: Erect or decumbent perennial subshrub 60–120 cm high; stems appressed-hairy.

Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets linear-cuneate to obovate, 7–25 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, apex truncate to obtuse, mucronate, upper surface glabrous, lower surface appressed-hairy; stipules subulate, 1–5 mm long.

Flowers solitary or in axillary clusters of 2–7. Calyx 3–4 mm long, teeth longer than tube. Corolla 6–7 mm long, pink-purple; standard often with darker purple patch; keel curved.

Pod ± circular, c. 3 mm long.
