Wurmbea latifolia subsp. latifolia T.D.Macfarl. APNI* Description: Herb 5–15 cm high, dioecious.
Leaves 3, either well separated and lowest leaf filiform or linear, to 2 mm wide, middle and upper leaves successively shorter and with dilated bases or occasionally lower 2 leaves basal, similar, narrow- to broad-linear or lanceolate, upper leaf distant; lowest leaf 1.5–8 mm wide.
Male inflorescence open, well exserted; female inflorescence similar or short, dense and sometimes concealed between basal leaves; flowers 2–9. Tepals 5–11 mm long, white; nectary 1 per tepal, about a third from base, a raised, transverse band, occasionally with a partial or complete but narrow break at middle, white or faint purple. Stamens third to half as long as tepals; anthers 1–1.5 mm long, purple.
Capsule 2.5–4 mm long.
Flowering: late winter to spring.
Distribution and occurrence: South from Dubbo district. Grows in heavy soils in inland districts.
