Description: Herb to 30 cm, wiry, erect, grey-tomentose, hairs stellate, appressed.
Leaves ± oblanceolate, to 30 mm long, entire, sessile or petiolate.
Flowers 2–3 mm long. Filaments of stamens winged with variable lateral appendage. Silicula ± circular, to 6 mm long; valves flat, thin; pedicel 3–5 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in semi-arid areas; may be native. Native of W Asia & S Eur.
