Description: Spreading herb to 20 cm high, monoecious.
Leaves ovate to obovate, to 10 mm long, margins entire or sinuate, subsessile.
Flowers axillary, solitary or in small clusters. Fruiting bracteoles 2–3 mm long, the central area with a vertically thickened zone, the apex distinctly lobed with, usually, 5 acute lobes; appendages absent. Uncommon in low-lying areas near the Qld, N.S.W., S.A. borders.
